Lake Charles Event Center
Located on 64 acres on the eastern rim of sparkling Lake Charles, the Lake Charles Event Center is a focal point for entertainment and a mainstay for cultural, social, business and educational events. This three-level, three-part event center encompasses more than 83,000 square feet, with a range of extremely versatile event venue options. The grounds include ample parking, exterior event staging capabilities, expansive green space, lakefront and boardwalk access.

Lakefront Boardwalk Promenade
The Lakefront Boardwalk skirts the edges of scenic Lake Charles and features a walking and jogging path just under 2 miles long. Along the Boardwalk, pedestrians can take in some of the most majestic views in the region and hop from attraction to attraction.

Cypress Alligator Pond
This Alligator Pond, located just off Interstate 10, offers visitors the opportunity to see first-hand the alligators that have always been part of Louisiana’s heritage, tradition and culture.
Veterans Memorial Park
Located just south of Interstate 10 along the lakefront boardwalk, Veterans Memorial Park is on the northern grounds of the Lake Charles Event Center. Consistently praised as one of the most beautiful Veterans Memorial Parks in the state of Louisiana, the park features an actual WWII Patton Tank and 8-inch Howitzer M115 Cannon. Other features include the official, state-recognized Louisiana Vietnam Veterans Memorial and an inspiring bronze statue of Medal of Honor recipient, Douglas Fournet.

Bord du Lac Marina
Bord du Lac Marina is located on the eastern shore of Lake Charles, south of the Lake Charles Event Center and across from the I-10 lakefront development area. It features 38 boat slips equipped with water and electrical utilities. Vessels are free to come and go from the marina throughout the day, but overnight or utility use requires a paid reservation. Slips may be reserved for up to 72-hour periods.
Millennium Park
This signature children’s park is located on the southern grounds of the Lake Charles Event Center. The park, completely built by community volunteers, features a splash pad and separate play areas for children of all ages. A rubberized surface runs throughout the playground to maximize safety, and the playground is for children of all play abilities. A concession stand and covered picnic areas make this park the perfect location for a family outing.

Lake Charles Visitor Center
Located off of I-10 towards downtown on beautiful Lake Charles, the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau is here to serve visitors as a resource center for the region. Adventure and exploration await with a diverse offering of culture, music, world-famous food, festivals, the great outdoors, casino gaming, top name entertainment and historic attractions. So, unwind & have fun!

North Beach
North Beach is the only white-sand inland beach from Texas to Florida. Welcoming you directly off Interstate 10, Exit 29 for eastbound travelers and Exit 30A for westbound travelers, the beach is easily accessible which makes it a fantastic spot for families and groups. This beach offers stunning views and welcoming brackish water. The City has installed beach volleyball nets, beach soccer goals and pickleball courts for visitors to enjoy. Hours: Daily - 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. year round.
Lakefront Amphitheater
A newly renovated amphitheater is coming soon thanks to the successful passage of the tax-neutral LC REBOUND bond proposition. Be on the lookout for a larger stage, enhanced A/V, box seats, improved aesthetics and much more!

Louisiana Vietnam Veterans Memorial
OPENING FIRST QUARTER 2025
The Louisiana Vietnam Veterans Memorial will pay tribute to the 885 Louisiana Vietnam War casualties. This memorial, thanks to recent state legislation sponsored by Senator Jeremy Stine, will be the official and only State of Louisiana Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Expanded Convention Center and Meeting Space
The City of Lake Charles recently announced plans to construct additional conference and convention center space, designed with the needs of modern meetings and events in mind, will be built and owned by the City of Lake Charles. The hotel paired with the additional conference and convention center space will attract new, regional conventions and conferences. Construction is expected to get underway in late 2025, when an anticipated completion date of early 2027.
State-of-the-Art Amphitheater
The City of Lake Charles recently announced plans to construct a 3,500 seat state-of-the-art amphitheater at the site of the former Capital One Tower. The new, more modern amphitheater will allow for an immensely higher quality experience for events that use the current amphitheater, but it will also have the modern design and features to attract new, exciting live music events and festivals. Construction is expected to get underway in late 2025, when an anticipated completion date of early 2027.
Hilton Garden Inn
ReNew Lake Charles, LLC recently announced plans to build a 154-room Hilton Garden Inn on the north side of the Lake Charles Event Center. This property will feature a second-story pool and full-service restaurant open to hotel and non-hotel guests. Construction is expected to get underway in late 2025, when an anticipated completion date of early 2027.
